La Serra
“La Serra” is the name of the hotel restaurant and it reflects the hotel’s style in every way: it offers Florentine and Italian cuisine with a few international touches. The main emphasis, however, is on Tuscan cuisine, using fresh, seasonal products. Our chef scours the local markets for whatever is currently in season and creates menus around those ingredients.
The elegant and luxurious restaurant, housed on the ground floor of the hotel, has plenty of natural lighting thanks to its wonderful windows and offers a view of Piazzale Michelangelo and the church of San Miniato al Monte. The tables are set with great care and attention to details… fresh flowers by day, romantic candles in the evening, plates handsomely decorated with the lily, the symbol of Florence … the service is courteous and attentive.
“La Serra” is also the ideal meeting place for working luncheons and small receptions.
To create a truly wonderful and memorable meal, one needs to pair the right wine with each dish. Our sommelier has created a wine list which offers a selection of famous wines such as Sassicaia, Brunello di Montalcino, Solaia, Chianti Classico, Sagrantino di Montefalco, Cervaro della Sala as well as other lesser known, and therefore more economical yet equally excellent, wines worth discovering. And at the end of the meal, nothing is better than a cup of good Italian coffee. We offer a selection of blends created exclusively for us by Casa del Moka as well as a very special coffee which is 100% Puerto Rican, supplied to us by the most famous roaster in Florence, Piansa.
